The carved moulding closes elegantly the edge of any plywood, blockboard or wood panel easily with glue. The use of a thin carved slat also allows the surface to be slightly curved.

Design and decoration of door panels with elegantly carved mouldings.

In the process we create a groove on the surface of the door panel and place the carved moulding slats in this carefully shaped channel so that the decoration levels with front surface. In this case the moulding would not appear as a posteriorly mounted element but as an integral part of the door panel.

An antique door panel reflects elegance and sophistication. The impression remains when we retrofit a door panel with tasteful, handcrafted carved decorations recalling the charm of an antique atmosphere.

On this picture for example, a carved slat is placed into a narrow milling, then shortly after applying a darker layer of paint, it is wiped down. When the paint dries the panel is covered with a brighter coating of lacquer.

This way the remaining dark paint in the notches of the door panel highlights the stylish antique pattern.
